Day 1: Airport/ Sigiriya

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport. You will be warmly greeted by your chauffer guide and transferred to Sigiriya. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight accommodation in Sigiriya

Day 2: Sigiriya

Morning climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion’s Rock), one of the most extraordinary artistic complexes of its time (477 – 498 AD). Declared as an UNESCO heritage site in 1982, this magnificent citadel allures artistic and architectural curiosity from around the globe. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight accommodation in Sigiriya.

Day 3: Kandy

Morning after breakfast leave for Kandy. En route climb the Dambulla Rock Temple. This was built by king Walagambahu in the 1st century B.C. and it is a World Heritage Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world.

Day 4 & 5: Kandy

Morning at leisure. Afternoon sightseeing tour of the Kandy Town. Visit the Kandy Lake, Local markets & the Temple of the Tooth. Craving to quench your thirst for history, legendary tales and folklore? Then the city of Kandy is the perfect place for you. Nominated by UNESCO as a world heritage city, Kandy is a place rich in culture and tradition. The last capital of the ancient king’s era, the city of Kandy offers both locals and tourists with much to explore and discover. Home to the iconic Temple of the tooth, one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world, Kandy is full of religious sites, interesting architecture and charming eateries and shops. Day 6: Hill Country

Morning leave for Hill Country (Optional train ride) upon arrival you will be taken to see the Hakgala Gardens and the Seetha Amman Temple. Day 7: Hill Country

Morning explore surrounding at your own pace. Visit a tea factory and plantation. Here you will enjoy the absolute tea experience, taking you to the moment the young tea leaves are plucked from the plantation to being processed in the factory to make a steamy cup of tea. Day 8: Galle
